The summer days might be ending but with the abundant sunshine and beautiful weather in VENICE, the fun never stops! There is always something to do in our great community....and this week is no exception! Check out these fantastic, family friendly events being held this week throughout Venice!

Wednesday, September 7th

Learn about the amazing history of our community at the Venice Museum & Archives (351 Nassau Street South). The museum is housed in the Triangle Inn, a great historic site in Venice. There are permanent displays that include historical and archeological exhibits, such as those related to the life of Dr. Fred Albee as well as of local fossils that have been collected. The museum will be open this Wednesday from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Admission is FREE!

Friday, September 9th

Enjoy the bluesy and jazzy vocals of singer Melanie Massell at this week’s Free Friday Night Concert at the Centennial Park Gazebo (Tampa Avenue West). Pack a picnic and bring a chair or blanket as you listen to music outdoors in the beautiful September weather. The concert will be held between 7:00 and 9:00 pm.

Saturday, September 10th

Pick up some fresh produce this Saturday at the Venice Farmer’s Market (Tampa Avenue West). From 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, wander the booths to find locally grown fruits and vegetables, homemade honey and other delicious goodies, plants, and handmade art and crafts.

Step back in time during the 1927 Historic Train Depot Tours (303 East Venice Avenue). You and your family will love to explore the historic 1927 building on the FREE docent-led tour. Check out the displays and artifacts about the depot and the town that are located throughout the building and train caboose. Tours will be held this Saturday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
