So, yes, it's true, we were voted #2 Happiest Seaside Town in America...but if you ask the locals, we definetely think we're #1 and for good reason, Venice Florida has everything you could ever want in a place to live and more! The word Paradise doesn't quite do it justice, but it's as close as our language can get. 3 Little Pigs BBQ 124 W. Venice Ave.  

This is one of the newer restaurants in downtown venice and obiously specializes in various smoked meats which are smoked over aged wood and are then smothered in a delicious and secret BBQ sauce.  


Back Eddy Bistro 239 W. Miami Ave. 

This fun and intimate dining experience, beloved by local creative folk, features food from renowned chef Ed Glennon, whose philosophy is "start with fresh and delicious".  The walls are decorated with works by local artists and greatful dead memorabilia.


Bushido Sushi Bar 125 W. Venice Ave. 

Simply, really good sushi.  With rice, without the rice, raw cooked, what ever your pleasure.  Ofcourse, other traditional Japanese cuisine is offered as well.

Sharky’s on the Pier and Fins 1600 S. Harbor Drive

The most famous dining and drinking destination in South County, Sharky’s has a tiki bar and dining area at the entrance of the Venice Fishing Pier with a fancier menu and setting upstairs at Fins.


Caspersen Beach 4100 Harbor Drive
The regions top spot for finding prehistoric sharks’ teeth, but it's not just beach combing here.  There are also nature trails through freshwater and saltwater marshes, mangrove areas, and tidal flats.

Maxine Barritt Park 1800 Harbor Drive South

Located between Paw Park on one side and Sharky’s and the Venice Fishing Pier on the other, the large picnic pavilion offers one of the best gulf views in the area and can be rented out for parties and events.

Paw Park and South Brohard Beach 1600 S. Harbor Drive
A dream come true for your furry friends.  Paw Park is the only beach in the county where canines are allowed.


Cabaret of Magic 207 W. Miami Ave.
Theater hosts awe-inspiring live performing artists and variety shows plus is home to a magic and souvenir shop.

Centennial Park 200 W. Venice Ave.
In the center of downtown, the park features an interactive splash fountain, picnic tables, benches, restrooms, memorial to veterans and an information kiosk in an area occasionally used for special events.

Hecksher Park 450 W. Venice Ave.
Across from City Hall this is a popular spot, featuring free pickup tennis games every morning and you can also get into a basketball game most nights on the outdoor courts.
